ABSTRACT:
Tertiary-alkyl phosphines, such as tris-(3-hydroxypropyl) phosphine may be oxidized by heating in the presence of water and between about 0.1 and about 10% by weight of an acid catalyst at a temperature above about 100.degree. C.
