ABSTRACT:
A method of molding a composite plastic article having a cylindrical transverse cross section. The method includes the steps of forming an inner core of a cylindrical transverse cross section having a longitudinally extending hub, an outer wall surrounding the hub and ribs extending between the hub and the outer wall. A plurality of openings are formed extending through the outer wall with the openings accessible between the hub and the outer wall. A soft, resilient plastic is injection molded through only one of the plurality of openings to form an outer covering on the outer wall and to fill the other openings which extend through the outer wall.
