ABSTRACT:
A method of manufacturing a cyano compound by reacting a carbonyl compound with a nitrile compound having at least one α-hydrogen atom in the presence of a ligand and a metal compound of formula (III),in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?MX  (III)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein M is a copper atom or a silver atom, and X is an alkoxy group, an alkyl group, an aryl group or an anionic residue.
