ABSTRACT:
Concrete for placement in air featured by the quantity of mixing water of not more than 175 kg/m.sup.3, the content of hydraulic component materials of 400-700 kg/m.sup.3, nonuse of anti-foaming agent, the addition of a water-soluble polymer substance in an amount such as will give a viscosity in a range of 5 to 2,000 centipoises when dissolved in 1,000 g of water of 20.degree. C., and further, the addition of a high-range air-entraining, water-reducing agent in 0.1 to 2% by dry weight of the hydraulic component materials. This method of manufacturing concrete for placement in air has the effects of extremely little segregation, high deformability, and no necessity for consolidation.
