ABSTRACT:
A method for manufacturing an electric resistance element first prepares carbon particles by thermally treating these particles, such as carbon black at a temperature of at least 300.degree. C. Then a separate mixture of the carbon particles in an epoxy resin is prepared by mixing the carbon particles with a solution of an amino resin to at least partially cause adsorption, occlusion or reaction between the carbon particles and the amino resin. Then the amino resin is polymerized by heating. A further mixture is prepared by mixing a solution of epoxy resin with the first mixture to prepare a paste material which is then coated onto the surface of a substrate. The coating is then thermally cure to form a resistance film on the surface of the substrate.
