ABSTRACT:
A method is disclosed for making a facial and/or body prosthesis or appliance by means of molding and forming techniques. The material formed into the final prosthesis is a specific material uniquely adapted for the purpose. The material is a closed-cell, cross-linked, polyethylene and is in sheet form having a thickness in the range of from 1/64 inch to 1/4 inch and a density of between 11/2 and 9 pounds per cubic foot. The disclosure also includes the prosthesis per se as well as the method of making up a human face or body with the use of the prosthesis.
