ABSTRACT:
A method for lasing comprising preparing an aqueous solution of a member selected from the group consisting of 7-hydroxy-coumarin-8-methyleneiminobisacetic acid and the Ca.sup.++, Sr.sup.++, Ba.sup.++ and Al.sup.+++ complexes thereof and subjecting the solution to the energy provided by a laser.
