A continuously weft-knitted three-dimensional fabric cover having sutures to accommodate its three-dimensional format in which each suture defines a straight line or a series of straight lines joined end-to-end, each straight line lying at an angle of between 0.degree. and 50.degree. to the course-wise direction of the fabric.
