ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to the knitting an item of fabric on a knitting machine requiring interrupted or intermittent yarn feed. In the process of the present invention, the yarn is positively fed at least during a part of the knitting process. The positive feed is removed prior to a change in the yarn feed. Yarn feed ceases or knitting continues without interruption through the change after the positive feed is terminated.
