ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a method of inhibiting the corrosion of nonferrous metals using an anticorrosive agent selected from 3-amino-5-(.omega.-hydroxy-n-alkyl)-1,2,4-triazoles having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein x is an integer in the range of from 1 to 12; salts of the compounds of formula (I) with inorganic acids; and salts of the compounds of formula (I) with organic acids.
