ABSTRACT:
A method of forming a cyan dye image in an exposed silver halide color photographic material comprising a support and a photosensitive silver halide emulsion, said method comprising developing the exposed silver halide color photographic material with a color developing solution containing an aromatic primary amine color developing agent in the presence of a cyan coupler represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein EWG.sub.1 and EWG.sub.2 each represents an electron attractive group having a Hammett's substituent constant .sigma..sub.p value of at least 0.30 or;
