ABSTRACT:
A method for producing a heat sealable structure includes coextruding a substrate layer including a white opaque, cavitated polyolefin film with a second layer which includes a heat sealable ethylene propylene random copolymer, ethylene-propylene block copolymer or ethylene-propylene butene-1 terpolymer; biaxially orienting the coextrudate; treating to increase surface energy; applying a primer coating on the surface; and, applying a surface layer which includes vinylidene chloride copolymer.
