ABSTRACT:
A method of forming a color image and a silver halide color photographic material comprising a reflective support having thereon at least one light-sensitive layer containing at least one coupler which forms a dye upon a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent and a silver halide emulsion which contains at least 80% by mol of silver chloride and substantially no silver iodide the method comprising processing with a color developing solution which contains not more than 0.002 mol of a bromine ion per liter and substantially no benzyl alcohol for a development time of not more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds in the presence of at least one compound represented by the following formulae (I), (II), or (III), as defined in the specification.
The method of forming a color image and the silver halide color photographic material according to the present invention enable rapid processing to be conducted while controlling the fog formation with high sensitivity.
