ABSTRACT:
A pinch valve is fabricated by providing an elongated tubular housing with a cut-back portion at an outlet end, applying adhesive to the cut back portion, with a ring around the cut-back portion, placing the housing and ring in a mold and heating all three, providing a core rod inside the housing and forcing an elastomer into the space between the core rod and the housing and between the housing and the ring, curing the elastomer and cooling everything to allow the ring to thermally contract to engage the elastomer between the housing and the ring.
