ABSTRACT:
A method of extending the storage life of cooked foods, such as meats, pory and fish in the frozen state comprising, cooking the food, coating the cooked food with an edible coating the composition of which comprises the calcium salt of carrageenan, freezing the food coated with said calcium salt of carrageenan, and storing said coated food in the frozen state.
