ABSTRACT:
In the process of using sevoflurane as a rapid anesthetic, breakdown of the anesthetic to harmful compound A is slowed if not stopped altogether by cooling the CO.sub.2 scrubber to temperatures that still allow it to work effectively as scrubber but avoid sevoflurane degradation.
