ABSTRACT:
In the novel method of electrically processing a completed and operative CRT, the portion of the focus electrode that faces a high-voltage electrode is heated at temperatures above about 700.degree. C. and then is subjected to RF spot-knocking. The novel method can be applied during the initial processing of the CRT and/or subsequently during a reprocessing procedure.
