ABSTRACT:
A method and device are disclosed for raising rimpled and flattened parallelepipedic blanks to form rectangular parallelepipeds. A supply of flattened parallelepipedic blanks are rolled out in a first rolling direction through a pair of discharging rollers. Pressure is imparted on the flattened parallelepipedic blanks in a direction opposite to the first rolling direction by means of a pusher for opening the blank to nearly 180.degree. in a direction perpendicular to the rolling direction. The pusher is thereafter retracted in the first rolling direction to raise the blank to form a rectangular parallelepiped with a substantially square-shaped cross section. The formed blanks are thereafter unloaded from the device.
