ABSTRACT:
A method for the treatment of hyperproliferative benign or malignant lesions in the large intestinal epithelium is provided.
The method comprises administering the tripeptide L-pyroglutamyl-L-histidyl-glycine of the formula: ##STR1## in which the pyroglutamyl and histidyl moieties are of the L-configuration.
