Process for the preparation of polymers by free-radical polymerization from(a) ethylenically unsaturated monomers and(b) polyalkylene oxide-containing silicone derivatives,where the polymerization is carried out in the presence of alkanethiols having a carbon chain length of from C 10 to C 12.
