ABSTRACT:
Positive electrodes for lead storage batteries are produced by "forming" the electrodes in an alkaline electrolyte containing an anion which forms a very slightly soluble lead compound. The electrode may also be immersed, prior to forming, in pure water, an aqeuous solution of sodium sulfate, and/or sodium hydroxide.
