ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a novel method for the cis to trans isomerization of an alkenyl alcohol in a very simple process. The inventive method comprises heating the cis-isomer at a temperature of, for example, 150.degree. to 200.degree. C. in the presence of selenium metal in a powdery form with agitation.
