ABSTRACT:
A process for temporarily coloring a polyamide substrate is provided whereby a poly(oxyalkylene) substituted methine colorant is applied to the substrate followed by heating the substrate with superheated steam at a temperature of 250.degree. F. or greater, which effectively decolorizes the methine colorant.
