ABSTRACT:
A method for stretching at a high speed an attachment device composed integrally of a synthetic resin and comprising a head, a cross-bar and a filament connecting integrally the head and cross-bar to each other in disclosed. This method comprises applying to the attachment device a force in a direction separating the head and cross-bar from each other while the filament is in the heated state and the head and cross-bar are in the gripped state, thereby to stretch the filament, and immediately thereafter, applying a relaxing action to the filament and releasing the attachment device from gripping means. The ratio of relaxation of the filament after stretching is ordinarily 10 to 40% and is preferably 20 to 35%.
