ABSTRACT:
A method for production of a shaped body having high mechanical strength, high modulus of elasticity, and good mold-releasing property, the method comprising steps of charging a metal salt of polyacrylic acid in powder form into a shaping mold; and press-forming the powder material into a shaped body under a pressure in a range of from 100 kg/cm.sup.2 to 1,000,000 kg/cm.sup.2.
