ABSTRACT:
A method for removing salt and water from a fish meal production process stream without sacrificing fish protein solids that are to be recovered as final product. Fish oil and fish protein solids are allowed to separate from water in the process streams, allowing for the removal of water and dissolved salt without the removal of substantial amounts of fish protein solids.
