ABSTRACT:
A method is disclosed for making an adhesive-coated high strength steel reinforcing member comprising the steps of: providing a steel member; austenitizing the steel member; passing the steel member through an adhesive coating bath wherein a uniform, continuous adhesive coating is applied at a rate sufficient to form a quenched structure of martensite, bainite or mixtures thereof; and, heating the coated steel member so as to effect drying and curing of the adhesive coating, and tempering of the steel member. The product obtained by this method is also disclosed.
