ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a method for processing a silver halide color photographic material with a color developer containing at least one aromatic primary amine color-developing agent. In the method a silver halide color photographic material which comprises a pyrazoloazole-type coupler and an image-dye stabilizer, and has at least one of the layers comprising a silver halide emulsion of a high silver chloride and the total coating amount of silver of 0.75 g/m.sup.2 or below is processed, after exposure to light, with a color developer containing a specified amount of chloride ions and bromide ions, to improve development treatment characteristics, desilvering ability, and stability of an image.
