ABSTRACT:
A method is disclosed for the processing of an imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic material, wherein at least one of wash water and a stabilizing solution used in a step subsequent to a bleach-fixing step or a fixing step following a bleaching step contains at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, and R.sub.5 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an acyl group, a hydroxy group, an amino group, a nitro group, a carboxy group, or a sulfo group.
