ABSTRACT:
Cyclic polycarbonate oligomers are converted to linear polycarbonate resins by heating with a polycarbonate formation catalyst which generates aryl carbanions at temperatures up to about 300.degree. C. The preferred catalysts are tetraarylborates such as tetramethylammonium tetraphenylborate.
