ABSTRACT:
A method for preparing ferromagnetic iron oxide particles is described, which comprises depositing a cobalt compound onto a surface of lepidocrostie (.gamma.-FeOOH) particles, and then calcining the particles at 150.degree. to 350.degree. C.
