ABSTRACT:
A method for preparing a superconductive fiber or film of improved critical current density. The method involves spinning an aqueous solution optionally containing a mixture of metal salts corresponding to the superconductive YBa.sub.2 Cu.sub.3 O.sub.x and a water soluble polymer. This method produces a more dense superconductive material upon firing.
