ABSTRACT:
A two step method for making a thermoplastic molding composition predominantly comprising methyl methacrylate by polymerizing monomers in a first stage, in the presence or absence of a solvent, to 50 percent conversion, further polymerizing at 75.degree. C. to 150.degree. C. in a second stage in the presence of a nonpolymerizable organic solvent to a conversion of at least 80 percent, and then evaporating volatile constituents.
