ABSTRACT:
A method achieving a small spatial restriction and capable of simply measuring with high precision a flow rate of a conductive fluid of an electromagnetic pump is provided. In particular, the method is suitable in measuring a flow amount of each electromagnetic pump in an electromagnetic pump unit where a plurality of electromagnetic pumps are arranged in parallel in one pump vessel. The method includes: measuring, by a magnetic sensor such as a magnetic flux density measuring coil6, arranged in the vicinity of a outlet end2of an electromagnetic pump1, a magnetic flux density of a magnetic field4that is generated in the electromagnetic pump1and pushed out from the outlet end2of the electromagnetic pump1due to a flow of a conductive fluid5; and measuring a flow amount of the electromagnetic pump1from a previously calculated relationship between the magnetic flux density of the magnetic field4pushed out from the outlet end2of the electromagnetic pump1and a flow amount of the conductive fluid5.
