ABSTRACT:
Bismuth salt and metal alkoxide are reacted with each other under an acidic condition, and a Bi12MO20precursor solution (where M is at least one of Ge, Si and Ti) is obtained. The obtained Bi12MO20precursor solution is concentrated to be formed into gel, and the gel Bi12MO20precursor is fired to be formed into powder. The powder is mixed with a binder and coated on a support, and so on. In such a way, a photoconductive layer, which is formed of a bismuth oxide-series complex oxide with a high collection effect of charges generated and small electric noise, is manufactured.
