ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates a method for manufacturing a hydrogen storage alloy electrode that can prevent the peeling-off of a hydrogen storage alloy powder and can decrease both the electric resistance and the cell reaction resistance of the electrode coated with SBR. A method for manufacturing a hydrogen storage alloy electrode comprises the steps of mixing a powder of a hydrogen storage alloy with styrene-butadiene base latex and water and kneading the mixture so as to form a paste, and after coating the paste on a current collector, drying and pressing the current collector, wherein the styrene-butadiene base latex has a glass transition temperature in a range of -25.degree. to -40.degree. C. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the peeling of the hydrogen storage alloy powder and to decrease both the electric resistance and the cell reaction resistance of the electrode coated with the SBR.
