ABSTRACT:
When an outer circumference of a clamping portion25and an outer circumference of a circular outer circumference26are restrained by a die6while inserting a non-circular punch5into a circular hole28, paddings27, 27are pressed by a semi-circular inner circumference of the die6to thereby be forced into interior of the circular hole28. The volume of the paddings27, 27is set to be substantially the same as a volume obtained by subtracting the volume of a non-circular hole23in an extension shaft2from the volume of the circular hole28. The circular hole28is deformed, and the paddings27, 27forced into the circular hole28abut with inclined planes52, 52of the punch5, whereby the non-circular hole23is formed in the extension shaft2.
