ABSTRACT:
A method for the monoalkylation of tin tetrachloride by reaction of tin tetrachloride at 20.degree. -70.degree. C. with a stoichiometric amount of an ether donor complex or of a tertiary amine donor complex of an aluminum trialkyl or alkyl aluminum halide.
