ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photosensitive material is developed with a developing solution containing an aromatic primary amine in the presence of a coupler represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represents a hydrogen atom or a certain substituent group, and X represents a hydrogen atom or a coupling eliminable group; to provide magenta color image having high color purity.
