The present invention provides a method for extraction of metals selected from Cr, Mo, Pd, Tc, W, Re, and Pu using a new extractant of methyliminobisalkylacetamide represented by a formula (I):in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?CH3—N—(CH2CONR2)2 (I)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein R represents an alkyl group having 8-12 carbon atoms.
