ABSTRACT:
Fiberglass strips are arranged in a desired pattern. Parts of the strips are outside of a cavity and parts are inside surrounded by a quantity of polystyrene beads. The temperature of the beads is raised. This causes the beads to expand against the cavity and form the handle and also to expand against the inside parts of the strips and exert pressure on same. The latter pressure locks the strips in the handle. The temperature of the handle is then lowered and the handle is removed from the cavity. The eraser is in ready condition for shipment without further working. The parts of the strips outside of the cavity are used for removing chalk and/or ink from a board.
