ABSTRACT:
A cellulose fiber derivative is provided, along with methods of its production, in order to give color features to cellulose fiber compositions while using disperse dyes. The cellulose fiber derivative includes an acyl group of formula ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1, X.sub.2, Y.sub.1, Y.sub.2 and Z are selected individually from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, nitro, methoxy, phenylazo or amino, introduced into said cellulose fiber through chemical reaction with the hydroxyl groups of said cellulose fiber to the extent of a substitution degree of more than 0.10.
