ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method for operating a combustion engine (1) comprising a fuel-driven heat engine (5), which permits a differentiation of faults during the supply of fuel. To this end, the fuel is supplied under pressure to the heat engine (5) via a fuel supply (10). A pressure reduction speed in the fuel supply (10) is determined, and a fault is inferred based on a comparison of the pressure reduction speed with a predetermined threshold value.
