ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method (300, 400, 500) for controlling transmission power of a signal which is received using a certain number of rake fingers, where a value for a controlled variable is determined (303, 405) and the controlled variable value is compared (305) to a target value. The method according to the invention is characterized in that a discrepancy for the controlled variable is determined (304) using at least the number of rake fingers used in receiving the signal and said discrepancy is taken into account (305, 312) when comparing the controlled variable value to the target value. The invention relates also to a network element (600) and to a mobile station (610).
