ABSTRACT:
A continuous process for the preparation of high dropping point i.e. above 400.degree. F. lithium complex soap thickened grease composition comprising the steps of continuously saponifying a hydroxy C.sub.2 -C.sub.24 monocarboxylic acid and a C.sub.2 to C.sub.12 dicarboxylic acid with a lithium base in a lubricating oil substrate and then continuously dehydrating the mixture.
