ABSTRACT:
A method for forming a color image comprising color developing a color photographic silver halide light-sensitive material containing at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein X is a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group, R is an aryl group, and each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group,
using a color developer containing a p-phenylenediamine-based and/or p-aminophenol-based color developing agent and without performing black-and-white development.
