Method for automatically selecting a software application being a program for execution on a virtual machine, including the steps ofreceiving an exit status value from a terminating software application;translating the exit status value to an identifier for the next software application to be executed, wherein a mapping table is used;executing on the virtual machine the next software application (J4) program that is represented by the identifier.
