ABSTRACT:
A building construction includes a slab-like floor layer having an upper surface defining a habitable area and at least one horizontal groove opening into the lower surface of the layer, a plurality of duct-like parts being supported on the upper surface of the floor layer in accord with an arbitrarily selected room layout, utility lines for the habitable area being disposed in the horizontal groove in the lower surface of the layer and also being disposed in the duct-like parts above the upper surface, and partition walls being disposed atop the duct-like parts to form rooms.
