The invention relates to a method for the automatic design of experiments, having the following steps:inputting a similarity measure of two experiments,inputting a weighting measure for an individual experiment,determining a quality measure based on the similarity measure and the weighting measure,finding a number of experiments where the quality measure assumes an extreme value.
