ABSTRACT:
A method system for measuring the rate of occurrence of physiological parameters, such as temperature, pulse rate and respiration rate. A method, implemented by a digital processor associated with an electronic measuring system, provides accurate measurements in a short period of time, which measurements are then displayed to the system operator. Automatic indicator signals or alarm signals are produced whenever data is determined to be invalid. The system is entirely self-contained and, upon completion of a measuring cycle, actuation of the appropriate function key, will visually display the valid data to the operator.
